Nest displays are Google Assistant powered smart home devices that can be controlled using voice commands. One of the ways of using Nest displays are for video calling to get in touch with family and friends or in enterprise scenario to join a video meeting from home. I led the UX for Google Duo and Google Meet on smart displays over period of two years.
In my role as the UX Lead and point of contact for video calling, I oversaw the Duo and Meet experiences on smart displays, ensuring alignment and coordination within 4PA. I was responsible for maintaining UX consistency across Duo, Meet, Google Assistant, and Nest patterns to create a cohesive video calling experience. I led various improvements to enhance feature parity and the overall user experience, delivering projects such as Duo group calls, Meet Hand Raise, Captions, in-call notifications, and more.
